Can I install the Aqua-Scope leak protection myself?

Yes, the entire Aqua-Scope system is designed for self-assembly. No work is required on the drinking water or hot water lines. Therefore, no plumber or other installer is needed.

What must be taken into account when installing the KFR drive motor?

Please check the exact dimensions of your angle seat valve. Also check that there is sufficient space to install the motor on the angle seat valve. Information on the required clearances can be found in the document "KFR Clearances" .

How can I communicate with Aqua-Scope devices?

All Aqua-Scope products with a Wi-Fi interface (except MATTER devices) can generally be operated using the following protocols: - free Aqua-Scope app, MQTT, JSON webhook on your own smart home controller, - Modbus IP, - local HTTP service (if the device is mains-powered), - Discovery for MQTT Home Assistant. It is possible to disable the connection to the Aqua-Scope Cloud and thus control via the Aqua-Scope app, using only one of the other services. However, automatic firmware updates will then no longer be available.

My shut-off valve is rusted. Can I still use the motor?

Both the ball valve actuator and the angle seat valve actuator rotate with a force of approximately 8 Nm. The torque a person can exert on a KFR valve, for example, is approximately 4 Nm. This means our motor will continue to turn the valve even when you can no longer do so yourself, or only with great difficulty.

Can the motors for shut-off valves (BVS, KFR) be operated with a Z-Wave or Zigbee compatible system (Hornbach, HomeAssistant, Fibaro, Smartthings, Homey etc.)?

Yes, that's possible. You'll need the wired motor for angle seat valves or ball valves . Then connect the motor to a smart relay with potential-free switching contacts. For Zigbee: NodOn Multifunction Switch . For Z-Wave: Shelly Wave 1. Basically, you need a switching insert with potential-free contacts. For the motor for ball valves (BVS), there's a Z-Wave device that can also be controlled directly and wirelessly.

Can the motors for shut-off valves (BVS, KFR) be operated with the Shelly system?

Yes, that's possible. You'll need the cable-controlled motor for angle seat valves or ball valves . You then connect this to a Shelly Plus 1. This video shows how the control cable is connected to the Shelly insert, enabling control via the Shelly app.
