The Aqua-Scope Rain Gauge is a smart WLAN rainfall sensor for your home, garden, or property. Using precise tipping-bucket technology, it measures the amount of rainfall directly at the sensor location in milliliters and transmits the readings every 15 minutes with an accuracy of 0.5 mm of water column – along with the current temperature. This keeps you informed of rainfall and weather conditions at all times.

Built-in heavy rain alert: If rainfall exceeds 15 l/h, the rain gauge automatically triggers a heavy rain alert – ideal for protecting against flooding, waterlogged basements, or overloaded drainage systems. Both the alert threshold and the measurement interval are fully configurable.

 

Flexible Smart Home Integration

The rain gauge communicates via WLAN and can be connected in three ways:

  • Aqua-Scope Cloud & App – view rainfall data and alerts conveniently on your smartphone or PC
  • MQTT – connect to a server or platform of your choice
  • JSON object – direct integration with Home Assistant and other smart home systems

 

Built to Last

The sensor runs on two AAA batteries. The included VARTA batteries provide a battery life of approximately 2 years. A low battery status is reported wirelessly in advance, so you can replace the batteries before the device shuts down.
