The Aqua-Scope pressure sensor records the water pressure in the drinking water distribution system or in the hot water heating system. The device consists of two parts:
- the main housing for signal processing and radio communication with battery compartment.
- The external sensor head connects to the water line. Made of stainless steel, the sensor head features a silicon sensor immersed in silicone oil for highly accurate and low-noise pressure measurements. The pressure measuring range is 1 to 10 bar. The sensor head is installed anywhere in the building at a 1/8-inch access port or, using the included T-fitting, under any sink at the angle valve.
The sensor can send an alarm message if user-defined thresholds are exceeded or fallen below. The sensor's polling frequency is adjustable from 0.1 seconds to several minutes and determines the battery life. A battery life of approximately 10 years is calculated for a 1-second measurement interval.
The device is controlled via LoRaWAN commands. It operates as a LoRaWAN Class A device. Use of the device requires LoRaWAN network coverage. The device is powered either by an external power supply via a USB-C power adapter or by an optional internal ER26500 battery (Bobbin Cell C). Both the sensor head (IP67) and the main housing (IP65) are waterproof and can be used outdoors or in particularly humid and/or dirty environments.
