The water sensor clamp uses a "time-of-flight" measurement method to measure the flow rate and temperature in a water pipe and transmits the data wirelessly. An internal analysis of the flow rate detects water leaks and other anomalies, alerting the owner.
The device is clamped onto the outside of the water pipe without interrupting the water supply. Its flexible design and innovative software allow it to be used on water pipes between 16 and 50 mm in diameter, made from many materials currently available on the market, such as PEX, PEX AL, copper, or PE. It meets all requirements of the European Community's Metering Directive (MID). Requiring only 60 mm of space above the water pipe and measuring just 115 mm in length, the device is very flat and compact, making it easy to install.
The device can be powered either via USB-C or by two AA alkaline batteries. Whenever an external power source is available, it will be used regardless of the batteries inserted.
The system communicates via Wi-Fi and is controlled via a mobile app. Additionally, data can be sent to an MQTT server or an HTTP webhook for integration into a smart home system.
