The Aqua-Scope water monitor analyzes pressure waves in the tap water to detect water consumption and leaks, and continuously records the water temperature, consumption, and pressure. The user is alerted wirelessly if leaks are detected or if pressure or temperature thresholds are exceeded or fallen below. An additional wired flood sensor can be connected directly to the device, which will also trigger an alarm when water is detected.
The device consists of two parts:
- the main housing for signal processing and radio communication with battery compartment.
- The external sensor head connects to the water line. The sensor head is installed anywhere in the building at a 1/8-inch inspection opening or, using the included T-fitting, under any sink at the angle valve. Thanks to water's excellent acoustic properties, a single sensor located anywhere in the house is sufficient to detect water consumption and leaks throughout the entire building. However, a pressure reducer must be installed in the house.
The device is controlled via LoRaWAN commands. It operates as a LoRaWAN Class A device. Use of the device requires LoRaWAN network coverage. The device is powered either by an external power supply via a USB-C power adapter or by an optional internal ER26500 battery (Bobbin Cell C). Both the sensor head (IP67) and the main housing (IP65) are waterproof and can be used outdoors or in particularly humid and/or dirty environments.
