The Aqua-Scope 'Basic' leakage protection system for KFR valves monitors the water pipes of a building, shuts off the water in case of leaks and informs the residents via radio.
The system consists of two components. The Aqua-Scope Monitor uses an acoustic water sensor to continuously monitor the entire pipe network from a single location in the house. The water sensor, attached to the monitor housing, is mounted on the house's water line at an easily accessible point using a T-fitting. The actuator is mounted onto an existing KFR angle seat valve without interrupting the water supply. Upon detecting a leak, it immediately shuts off the water, preventing further damage. Regular pipe checks detect even micro-leaks with a water loss as low as 4 ml/h.
The water can also be conveniently switched on and off by the user via command or regularly – for example, on weekends – using programmable timers. The system is controlled via a mobile app. Additionally, data can be sent to an MQTT server or an HTTP webhook for integration into a smart home system.
The devices communicate using robust LoRa radio technology. This allows the devices to be installed on different floors, in the basement, or even outside the house.
